About this speaker
David Branscom entered his 20th year of coaching football and his 4th year as the head coach at Brandeis High School in 2020, with a record of 37-9. In 2019, his team recorded the best football season win record in Brandeis history going 13-1. David received his bachelor and master's degree from the University Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX and was a part of the very first football team in 1998. After graduation, he began his coaching career as a coach for the Crusaders. He spent 14 seasons helping coach the UMHB football team to a 154-22 record losing only 5 games the last 5 seasons at UMHB. David was honored as the first member inducted into the Crusader Football Alumni Hall of Honor. He also leaves a legacy of having coached two DIII National Players of the Year, with Jerrell Freeman and Javicz Jones. David is married to Courtney Branscom and has two sons, Aidan (9) and Maximus (6).
